KachingQR Invoice Terms of Use

Who we are

KachingQR Invoice is made by one developer and published on Google Play as Kodachi Studio. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean this developer.

What the app does

The app makes invoices, receipts and PayNow QR codes on your phone. It is for Singapore only: amounts are in S$, and customers pay by PayNow.

The app never receives, holds or moves money. It does not check if a customer paid. You mark an invoice paid yourself.

The app is not a tax, GST or accounting tool.

Who can use it

The app is for freelancers and small businesses. This includes people who bill for their own work.

You must be 18 or older to use the app.

If you use the app for a business, you confirm that you may accept these terms for that business.

Your responsibilities

• Your business details and PayNow details must be correct.
• The app checks only the format of your PayNow number. It cannot check that the number belongs to you.
• Your customers must check the payee name in their bank app before paying.
• Tax and GST are your job.

What you must not do

• Use the app for scams or fraud.
• Put another person's or business's PayNow details on an invoice to take their payments.
• Break the law.

Free plan

The free plan lets you create 5 new invoices each calendar month, Singapore time. A new month starts at 00:00 on the 1st.

• Only "New invoice" counts.
• Editing an invoice never counts.
• Deleting an invoice does not give one back.
• Marking an invoice paid, receipts and Quick QR never count.

Late-invoice notifications are free for everyone.

Pro plan

Pro gives you:

• unlimited new invoices
• no "Created with KachingQR Invoice" footer on invoice and receipt PDFs
• ready reminder messages ("Send reminder") after the one free reminder

Buying Pro

Pro is an optional monthly or yearly subscription. You buy it through Google Play. It renews automatically until you cancel it.

Google Play shows the price before you buy. There is no free trial or introductory price now. Google Play's terms apply to the purchase.

Cancel Pro

Cancel in the Google Play Store app: Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

When Pro is on

• The app follows Google Play's answer about your subscription.
• If a payment fails and Google Play gives you a grace period, Pro stays on during it. While Google Play has your subscription on hold, Pro is off.
• When your phone is offline, the app uses the last answer it got from Google Play.
• On a new phone or after a reinstall, Pro comes back on the same Google account. The app asks Google Play when it starts. The Pro screen also has "Restore purchases".

After Pro ends

• Every invoice stays. You can still view, send, edit and mark it paid.
• PDFs made from then on have the footer. This includes an old invoice that you send again.
• Files you already sent do not change.
• The 5-a-month limit applies again.
• Ready reminder messages need Pro again. Late-invoice notifications stay free.

Refunds

Google Play's refund rules apply. You can also email support@kachingqr.com. We look at each request, and we can refund through Google Play.

Your data and backups

The app keeps your data on your phone. We never receive a copy.

Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes the data on your phone. We have no copy, so we cannot get it back. Only your own backups can.

So keep backups:

• Turn on Android backup in your phone's Settings.
• Make a backup file on the app's Backup screen. The Menu shows the "Last backup file" date.

When you restore a backup, the app keeps a safety copy of your current data. "Undo last restore" brings it back.

No guarantees

To the extent the law allows, we provide the app "as is". We do not promise that it is free of errors. We do not promise that every bank app accepts its QR codes.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for payments lost because of wrong details that you entered on an invoice.
• We are not liable for lost data.
• We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost business.
• Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before your claim, or S$100.

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Your liability

You are responsible for losses caused by your own fraud or illegal use of the app.

Changes

We may change the app, its features and these terms. When we change these terms, we change the "Last updated" date at the top. For important changes, we also say so in the app's update notes on Google Play. Google Play tells subscribers about price changes.

If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms. If a court finds that a part of these terms is not valid, the rest still applies.

Not an official PayNow app

KachingQR Invoice is not an official PayNow app. It is not part of PayNow, and no bank or payment network endorses it. PayNow belongs to the Association of Banks in Singapore.

Law and courts

The laws of Singapore apply to these terms. The courts of Singapore decide any dispute.
